You'll smile too

I couldn't help smiling.  I was looking through my bible, finding highlighted verses, notes, dates beside verses that marked a specific time the verse was claimed, some verses highlighed in multiple colors and underlined...the precious reality of the power of the living Word...and personal peace...personal power.  There is power in the Word and it becomes a personal power when you believe what you read, claim the Words as your own, apply the Word to your own situation...the Word becomes real in your life.  Can't even begin to tell you how many times these precious scriptures have brought me comfort, hope, correction and guidance...but seeing all the markings and highlights reminded me...and I just had to smile.

Here's an all time favorite, and I should mention that when I brought this verse up on YouVerse, it was highlighted!!!! This verse is special to me for several reasons, the first being the reminder not to worry, instead pray about everything.  This is a verse that you can read and quote all day long but will only help IF YOU do it!!! That's the key, for me.  Telling God...He is always listening...at any moment...ready to hear what is on my heart...

Make this Word your own today...read it, say it out loud, write it down, believe it and actually take time to do it.  You'll be able to smile, too.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 AMP

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV
